News about the BlackBerry Z10 has been everywhere, but you still yearn for the
tactile
comfort a QWERTY keyboard brings. Fret not, as BlackBerry announces its
physical keyboard-equipped BlackBerry Q10 is available for pre-order,
at least in the United Kingdom. Shipping is expected at the end of
April.
The second BB10-powered smartphone will be available on Vodafone, O2,
Orange, T-Mobile, Three, EE, and TalkMobile. Carphone Warehouse lists
the phone at £579.95 unlocked or free with a two-year, £36-per-month
carrier contract. The pricing is on par with other smartphones in the UK
market.
For those living in other countries, BlackBerry says in its
blog that “details on availability to follow soon.” Let’s just hope “soon” does not mean “months from now.”
BlackBerry Q10: “Better” Than Z10
The BlackBerry Q10 looks like the BlackBerry Bold, but with BB10
operating system. It comes with a 3.1-inch touchscreen right above a
full QWERTY keypad. Early reviews have said that the Q10 is so good, it
is even more worth the wait compared to the Z10.
